To check or change audio settings, click your initials in the top left, go to All Settings, and select Voice & Video.
Using Mitel VoIP Phone at Home
You can take your Mitel VoIP phone (Model 6867i) to use at home. Here’s how:
- Connect the phone to your home network.
- Ensure it has a power source.
It is best practice to ensure SIP ALG is turned off on your local home network. If you are unsure about this, you should contact your internet service provider. UNC ITS Telecommunications does not offer technical support for home setups.
Do not use your VoIP desk phone to place 911 calls from home.
Activating Call Forwarding
To forward calls from your office number to another phone number:
- Log in to your Customer Portal at the Telephone User Portal.
- Your username is your 10-digit phone number followed by @ad.unc.edu with no spaces (e.g., 919xxxxxxx@ad.unc.edu).
- Use the login credentials provided when your phone line was set up.
- Go to Options.
- Select Incoming Calls.
- Toggle Call Forwarding Always to On to enable it.
