LastPass Business or Enterprise is a Software-as-a-Service offering to organizations to help manage the organization’s credentials. Information Technology Services administers this SaaS offering with assistance from departmental IT.
Q: My unit has a team of ten people that need to share University-related credentials, can we sign up for LastPass Business?
A: Yes. Please submit a service request and include your departmental IT contact(s) if you can.
Q: How is this different than Premium?
A: Enterprise is designed for UNC departments, centers, units, and teams whereas Premium is aimed at personal use.
Q: Can I link my Premium account to my Business account?
A: We do not recommend doing this.
Q: How should we share credentials?
A: Use Shared Folders inside of LastPass and assign a group as a member or owner of that Shared Folder.
Q: How are groups managed?
A: Groups are managed through the Grouper application that your departmental IT should be familiar with.
