This help article is intended for TeamDynamix (TDX) Responsible Group managers. It provides a step-by-step guide on how to add or remove members from existing TDX Responsible Groups.

 


Membership in TDX Responsible Groups is managed through Grouper, a group management tool. Users are added or removed from groups within Grouper, and TDX synchronizes with Grouper twice daily—at 3:00 AM and 11:00 AM—to update Responsible Group memberships based on these changes. Following the synchronization, an additional automated process runs at 7:00 AM and 1:00 PM to assign the agent role and grant application access to the appropriate users in TDX.

 

Before You Begin

To perform the procedures in this article, you must be logged in to the Grouper tool. Here's how to access Grouper:

  1. If you are off-campus, connect to the VPN.
  2. Sign in to the Grouper web interface.

Adding Members to Groups in Grouper

  1. In the left navigator menu, under Quick Links, click on My Groups. You should see the groups for which you have administrative access to add members.

  1. Select the group to which you want to add members. A folders list of the selected group will be displayed in the main area of the page.
  2. Click on the group's Allow Sources folder.
  3. On the top-right, click the Add Members button.

 

  1. In the Member Name or ID box, type new members Onyen, PID or last name, first name then click Add button.

 

 

  1. In the left navigator menu, under Quick Links, click on My Groups. You should see the groups for which you have administrative access to add members.

  1. Select the group to which you want to add members. A folders list of the selected group will be displayed in the main area of the page.
  2. Click on the group's Filter Sources folder.
  3. On the top-right, click the Add Members button.

 

  1. In the Member Name or ID box, enter the new members Dept ID. You can find this information in the Department IDs and Numbers Table.

  1. Click Add button.

 

Removing Members from Groups in Grouper

To remove members manually, follow the steps below:

  1. In the left navigator menu, under Quick Links, click on My Groups. You should see the groups for which you have administrative access to remove members.

  1. Select the group to which you want to remove members. A folders list of the selected group will be displayed in the main area of the page.
  2. Click on the group's Allow Sources folder.
  3. Click on Actions next to the user you want to remove and select Revoke Membership.
