Carolina Print Hub: Printing from Windows

This document walks you through the process of installing the Carolina Print Hub software so that you can print to any Carolina Print Hub printing stations, including those located in residence halls on campus.

Instructions

Before You Begin

Before you get started, you need to have the following:

  • Windows 11 or Windows 10. Carolina Print Hub does not currently support printing from Windows Tile/Metro apps.
  • Administrative rights to install software on your computer.
  • A network connection to the campus network through eduroam or 23-24-UNC-PSK (formerly UNC-PSK) (UNC-Guest will not work for this).
  • If you have firewall software running on your computer, you need to open ports 515 and 28203 for the Pharos Popup client (the software that lets you manage Carolina Print Hub) to work.

Follow this step if your Windows computer blocks the file

  1. Right-click on the file, choose Properties

  1. On the General tab, click the box near the bottom to Unblock, then click Apply
