Virtual Lab: Error - Administrator Hasn't Setup Any Resources

When launching certain apps from virtuallab.unc.edu you are redirected to a page that shows a message that "your administrator hasn't setup any resources.  This article will walk you through how to bypass this error.

Issue

When launching certain apps from virtuallab.unc.edu you are redirected to a page that shows the message below.
 

Resolution

Atlas.ti, Arena, Arena Output Analyzer, Nquery, MS Project, ArcGis, and Nvivio all launch from the Azure Virtual Desktop side of Virtual Lab.  We have links for these apps in the main virtual lab site that direct you to AVD.  You can also access them directly by going here.

To access Azure Virtual Desktop resources you must be logged in with your onyen@ad.unc.edu account.  If you already have an active logon in your browser session with a different Microsoft account, such as a @buisiness.unc.edu account, you will need to log out and log back in with the correct account. 

  1. To sign out, click on the blue circle in the top right corner of the AVD home page and select sign out.

 

  1. After you log out, log back in using your onyen@ad.unc.edu account.

 

  1. After you are authenticated with your @ad.unc.edu account you will have access to the the published desktop in AVD.
