This document describes the process for creating a bootable USB key that can be used to deploy operation system images for CCI computers or other images created within SCCM
Introduction
The tool used in this document is Rufus and it can be downloaded from Rufus.
You can download the ISO for the boot media from Shareware
Information
Once you have Rufus and the boot media ISO file downloaded, open Rufus and insert your USB key.
WARNING!: This process will erase the contents of the USB key. Please make sure all important data on the USB key has been backed up before continuing.
Configure Rufus as shown below then click start.
Device: The USB key to be used
Boot selection: The ISO file to be written to the USB key
Partition scheme: GPT
Target system: UEFI
File system: Fat32
After Rufus completes the creation of the boot media you can eject the USB key.
Computers must be configured to boot UEFI in the BIOS and they should have Secure Boot enabled.
