This article shows how to allow Citrix access to local files on Windows. This is required for the saving and loading of local files into the Virtual Lab.
Introduction
If you are not able to access files on your computer’s local storage while using a Virtual Lab application, you may not have the correct permissions granted in Citrix Workspace. Use the following steps to allow read and write access to Citrix Workspace.
Information
- Launch an application in Virtual Lab but before you do any work, expand the Show Hidden Icons menu in your Windows taskbar, right click on the Citrix icon, and choose Connection Center.
- In the Citrix Connection Center, choose Preferences
- In Preferences make sure Read and write is selected, select Apply, and then OK to save the change.
- If you made a change, close and reopen the app so the change takes effect
