University Development Office (UDO)

Service Description

UDO - Davie Support Services

Davie is the University of North Carolina’s alumni and development database. It is the source of credible, accurate information about alumni, private contributions, memberships, University events and other relevant data for the exclusive use of the Advancement staff at Carolina.

The Davie Helpdesk support team provides several support services:

  • Educates and assists users with the Davie system (processes and functionality)
  • Creates or updates records in bulk
  • Data output assistance, including reporting and queries
  • Troubleshoots Davie errors and performance
  • Assesses Davie inefficiencies to develop or improve processes and features

To submit a question or request Davie assistance, click Request. Please make sure to enter a description of your issue in the text box. A ticket will be created, assigned to the appropriate person/department to handle your request, and you will be notified of progress.

Please include all relevant details of your issue or request in the description (i.e. purpose or intended outcome of request, record Lookup IDs, revenue or event IDs, names/dates of items like plans, steps/interactions, processes, efforts, events, queries) to help ensure your ticket is processed as quickly as possible.

*For Davie tickets, please do not use the Chat feature at the bottom of this page. The Chat feature directs tickets to the ITS Service Desk, and will delay processing.

UDO - Davie Query Request

This form should be used when no similar query exists in Davie. If a query already exists which only needs adjustment or review by a Business Analyst, please select Request Davie Support and submit a request there.

UDO Online Event Registration Request

University Development can build online event registration forms for most events, with the following pre-requisites:

  • The event(s) must be configured in Davie
  • The target audience must be primarily Davie constituents (alumni, students, faculty/staff, donors, etc.) or have a bona-fide “development” purpose. Davie events are generally not suitable for things like continuing education classes, conferences, or events that would require “tickets”.
  • If the event is not free, you MUST FIRST submit a Benefit/Event Appeal Request Form.
  • Multi-level events, such as Reunion Weekends, are supported as long as the overall event has no registration options; i.e., a-la-carte events.

If you have any questions about online event registrations, contact olawsky@unc.edu.
