Password Managers & Retrieving Saved Passwords

What is a password manager?

A password manager stores your passwords for local applications and online services so that you don’t have to remember them. In many cases, password managers can generate complex passwords for you, and since you can retrieve your saved passwords from these managers, the complex passwords are easy to use.

Some password managers like LastPass use a complex master password to secure your information. These types of password managers are highly portable. Others are built into your device, making them less portable and dependent on your device’s security – like Face ID, passcode, or fingerprint - to protect your passwords.
