Audience
UNC Dataverse is available to UNC-CH students, faculty, staff, and UNC-CH affiliates with an Onyen.
Requirements
Use of UNC Dataverse requires acceptance of UNC Dataverse Terms of Use.
External research collaborators must have an Onyen to deposit, manage, and share datasets on UNC Dataverse. A UNC principal investigator may request official UNC-CH affiliate status for non-UNC-CH collaborators to allow them to obtain an Onyen.
Please note that currently, UNC Dataverse is a public access data repository and does not meet system security requirements for preserving or sharing sensitive data containing protected health information (PHI) or personally identifiable information (PII). If your research project involves data containing PHI/PII, please contact RDMC for strategies and alternatives for managing and sharing sensitive data.
Service Charges
UNC Dataverse is offered by RDMC at no additional cost to UNC researchers for up to 2TB of archival storage per project.
Fees apply for archival storage of files in UNC Dataverse in excess of the 2TB allowance. Please visit RDMC Add-on Data Management Services to learn more about this RDMC service offering.
