Adding Private Comments via Ticket Comments
This is the simplest and fastest way to add private comments.
Ensure you are logged in to TDNext and that the ticket of interest is visible on your desktop.
- Open the ticket by clicking its ID number or the title. A new window will open displaying the selected ticket.
- Scroll down to Feed section and select Comments.
- Check the Make comments private checkbox.
If you leave the Make comments private checkbox unchecked, the requester will see your notes on the Client Portal.
- Leave the Notify field blank.
- Type your work notes in the Comments field.
- Click Save under the Comment field.
Other Ways for Adding Private Comments
Adding Private Comments via Ticket Update
Ensure you are logged in to TDNext and that the ticket of interest is visible on your desktop.
- Open the ticket by clicking its ID number or the title. A new window will open displaying the selected ticket.
- Click Actions at the top of the ticket and select Update. A new window displaying the ticket details will open.
You can also scroll down to the Feed section to select Update.
- Check the Make comments private checkbox.
If you leave the Make comments private checkbox unchecked, the requester will see your notes on the Client Portal.
- Type your work notes in the Comments textbox.
- Ensure that the Notify, Notify Other People, and Other Email Address fields are empty.
- Click Save.
Adding Private Comments via Ticket Home Base
Ensure you are logged in to TDNext.
- Click the Applications Menu (the blue waffle icon) and select the Tickets application if you are not already there.
- Click Assigned To Me in the left navigation panel.
- Check box to the left of the ticket ID number.
You can select multiple tickets to add work notes in bulk.
- From the Actions button Menu, select Comments. A new window will open.
Do not select or click any recipients in the Notification section to avoid triggering a notification.
- Check the Make comments private checkbox.
If you leave the Make comments private checkbox unchecked, the requester will see your notes on the Client Portal.
- Type your work notes in the Comments field.
- Click Save at the top right.
