This article will walk through the steps to download and install Office 365.
Before You Begin
Note: In order to log into an Office 365 account, you must first sign up for an account. If you have not signed up for an account please do the following:
- Go to selfservice.unc.edu.
- Log in with your Onyen and password.
- Click on Email Sign-up. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Once your account is created, Office 365 offers the users the ability to download and install Office 365.
Installing Office 365 Apps
Note: The instructions below are for a new installation. If you already have Office 2013 or 2016 installed, please uninstall the previous version before following these steps.
Follow these steps to download and install Office 365:
- Go to Microsoft Office. If you are not already logged in, log in and verify it's you with 2-Step.
- Click the Install Office button.
- In the drop-down, select Office 365 Apps.
- Run the installer provided for Windows or Mac.
- Follow the instructions for the install.
