Starting with SAS 9.2, 9.3 or 9.4, SAS uses a file called SAS Installation Data (SID) to guide through the process of renewing. This page shows how to renew SAS based on a sid.txt file. To renew your SAS licenses, just follow the steps below.
Before You Begin
Note: You will have to have an Administrative or Standard (Power Users) user account permission on your computer before you are able to renew your SAS 9.2 or 9.3 software.
Renewing SAS
Follow these steps to Renew SAS.
- From the Start menu, expand the SAS folder. Right-click Renew SAS Software and select More > Run As Administrator.
- In the SAS Deployment Manager, the Select License Renewal dialog box opens. Select the option to Apply SAS Foundation license file for renewal.
- Use the Browse button to locate the SID file on you downloaded to your hard drive.
- Select Next.
- Select Ok.
- Select Renew, the process should now be complete.
