Service Description
Do not use this form to report CyberSecurity incidents!
The ISO Identity & Access Management team provides support for the integration of third-party applications and services with the university's central identity platform using Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML). This service enables applications (service providers) to authenticate users against the institution's Identity Provider (IdP), providing a secure, single sign-on (SSO) experience. Authentication through the IdP ensures users sign in with their Onyen and use multi-factor authentication. SSO is recommended for all first and third-party systems that support SAML, but is required for those that are classified as high protection per the Minimum Security Standard.
Please note that the IAM team does not provide any application development. Technical changes to the first or third party application that integrates with SSO are the responsibility of the service owner.
Please use the following Service Offerings to integrate and maintain Service Provider authentication:
Integrate my service with SSO – use this if you would like to set up SSO on your system or service for the first time or need to reconfigure integration.
Update Certificate – Use this if you have an updated digital certificate for your system or service.
Modify/Release Additional Attributes – Use this if you need to modify or release additional attributes passed during authentication.
Consultation or Review of Current Implementation – Use this if you would like the IAM team to consult about SAML or the technical requirements for your integration.
Assist with Testing – Use this if you would like assistance from the IAM team with testing of your new or changed Service Provider integration.
Other – Use this if you have any other questions not covered in a Service Offering, but related to Service Provider integration.
