Office 365 Email Setup: Getting Started

UNC-Chapel Hill uses Office 365. Your email settings can be configured on either a desktop client (Windows, Mac OS X) or a mobile device (iPhone/iPad (iOS), Android). This document is written to take you through a new Office 365 email configuration. 

Before You Begin

If you do not have an email account, please visit the Self Service tool and click on Email Sign-up.

Web and Retirees

• Office 365: Outlook Online

Windows

• Office 365 Email Setup: Windows Outlook 2016

Mac

• Office 365 Email Setup: macOS Outlook 2016 and 365 (Recommended)
• Office 365 Email Setup - macOS Apple Mail
• Office 365 - macOS Apple Calendar Setup

iPhone/iPad(iOS)

• Office 365 Email Setup: iPhone/iPad (iOS) Mail App
• Office 365 Email Setup: iPhone/iPad (iOS) Outlook App (Recommended)

Android

• Domain: leave blank
